IV Stem Cell Programs

Stem cells are the natural healers we all carry from birth. When you cut your skin, your body doesn't need any instructions to fix it. Local stem cells, along with those circulating in the bloodstream, travel to the injured area through a process called homing. There they multiply and repair, taking the wound through the stages of healing until the skin returns to normal. The same quiet work goes on every day throughout the body: repairing knee cartilage injured during sport, fixing kidney cells harmed by toxins such as mercury from too much salmon, and restoring lung cells damaged by cigarette smoke. Stem cells act like diligent soldiers, serving without recognition and eventually dying in their service.

Our IV Stem Cell Programs deliver a slow intravenous infusion of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) taken from umbilical cord tissue, the youngest and most concentrated source of these cells. The cells travel through the bloodstream to every organ and tissue, seek out areas of damage and inflammation, and support the body's own repair. The aim is whole-body rejuvenation, recovery and overall wellbeing: to reverse, repair and help you become biologically younger.

With over a decade of experience in stem cell therapy, we treat patients from every continent except Antarctica. Our reputation grew after COVID, not from marketing but from word of mouth, and we have been voted "Best Stem Cell Clinic" and "Clinic of the Year 2025." According to the World Health Organization, regenerative medicine, including stem cell research, is among the most promising fields in modern healthcare.

What it is and how it works

Stem cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease, a condition, or even aging itself. It is a medical treatment that uses stem cells to repair, replace or regenerate damaged or diseased tissues in the body.

In IV (intravenous) stem cell therapy, the cells are suspended in sterile saline and given through a slow drip into a vein. From the bloodstream they become available to all organs and tissues. The idea is that the stem cells naturally seek out damaged tissues or organs anywhere in the body and promote healing and repair there. Instead of relying on medications, supplements or surgery to treat damaged tissues and organs, IV stem cell therapy spreads healthy cells throughout the body. It offers a holistic approach to regeneration, targeting the root cause of damage rather than masking symptoms.

Once inside the body, mesenchymal stem cells:

  • Detect inflammation and damage through chemical signals

  • Home to these areas and release bioactive molecules such as growth factors, exosomes and anti-inflammatory cytokines

  • Stimulate the body's own repair mechanisms to regenerate tissue and reduce inflammation

  • Modulate the immune system, particularly in autoimmune and degenerative diseases

MSC therapy doesn't "replace" organs or act like magic; it supports the body to heal and rebalance itself. Depending on the condition, it may reduce chronic inflammation, stimulate regeneration of cartilage, skin, blood vessels and nerves, support immune regulation in autoimmune and post-viral conditions, and improve mitochondrial function and tissue oxygenation.

Why young stem cells

Stem cells also tire and age. A cut in the skin of a fetus in the womb heals without leaving a scar. A cut on your skin today may leave a scar, and the older you are, the slower wounds tend to heal. This shows how aging affects our own stem cells, and how powerful young stem cells are. As we age, our body's natural repair system slows down, and our own stem cells become less effective.

This is why we use mesenchymal stem cells from the umbilical cord, cells that are present from day one of life. Using these young stem cells instead of relying on your own, which age along with the rest of your body, lets us tap into their rejuvenating potential. Increased wear and tear of the body's natural stem cells increases cellular damage and accelerates aging. As we age, our cells get sick and die, and each cell death sets off a cascade of events leading to inflammation and disease that can shorten the human lifespan. Introducing "youthful" stem cells into the body can rejuvenate existing cells, allow the body to age more gracefully, and even reverse some effects of aging. Stem cells, in combination with anti-aging genes, can create a sophisticated shield against the effects of aging.

The earlier, the better

Think of your body as a house built of bricks. In the first 20 years after it is built, only a few bricks fall from the kitchen, the bedroom or the living room, and you hardly notice. As time goes on, more bricks fall, especially in the kitchen. Holes appear and rats move in. By the time the house is 40 years old, the kitchen is almost unusable, and you need a skilled contractor to rebuild it.

Our bodies age in the same way. Every year our cells lose some function. At first the body compensates and we notice nothing, but as wear and tear builds up, organs struggle to keep up, and we may develop conditions such as chronic kidney disease that need treatments like dialysis.

Introducing young stem cells is like adding bricks to repair the house. Added when the house is 20, the change may not be very noticeable because the house is still in good shape. Added at 30, when the kitchen has started to break down, you will notice a real improvement in how it works, just as stem cells can help restore an organ whose function has declined. But if you wait until the whole house is in disarray, adding a few bricks may not be enough to fix the damage. The earlier we intervene, the better the chance of restoring and enhancing organ function.

If we can protect a person from ongoing kidney damage and prevent dialysis, we have improved their longevity and quality of life. If we can treat painful knee osteoarthritis without long-term painkillers, we also protect that person from future kidney damage and the complications of toxic medication. We save their organs, something no amount of technology can replace with the same quality and function as the original.

What it is for

The IV Stem Cell Programs support whole-body rejuvenation, recovery and overall wellbeing. Patients can expect improvements including, but not limited to:

  • Overall quality of life

  • Physical wellbeing

  • Aesthetic appearance

  • Mental wellbeing

  • Energy levels

Improvements commonly reported by our patients include more energy and stamina, better sleep, reduced joint pain or stiffness, better skin tone, texture and hydration, sharper focus and mental clarity, better mood, stronger immune resilience, and a general feeling of youthfulness and vitality. Muscles, joints and the immune system can all improve over time.

Because the cells travel through the bloodstream, the benefit of the IV method is that your entire body can benefit. IV stem cell therapy is particularly suited to:

  • General anti-aging and wellness

  • Chronic inflammation, fatigue and brain fog

  • Multi-system conditions, such as autoimmune disease or long COVID

  • Post-viral and post-COVID recovery

  • Immune support

Mesenchymal stem cells are also being studied and used for many other conditions, including inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, cardiovascular health, neurological disorders, support alongside cancer treatment, and tissue engineering and wound healing. Your doctor will discuss whether your own condition is suitable.

IV stem cells can be combined with other anti-aging treatments for synergy, and this is often recommended. We design custom protocols that combine stem cells with IV nutrient therapy (for example NAD+, brain peptides, antioxidants and amino acids), hormone balancing with testosterone, exosome or PRP therapy for skin and hair, and young blood plasma. Many patients combine an IV infusion with a joint injection and skin rejuvenation in a single trip.

Who it is for

IV stem cell therapy suits adults who:

  • Want proactive anti-aging support and whole-body rejuvenation

  • Have a multi-system condition, such as an autoimmune disease or long COVID

  • Suffer from fatigue, chronic inflammation or brain fog

  • Want long-term systemic benefits for aging or chronic health issues

  • Are recovering from illness, injury or surgery

The best time to have stem cell therapy is when you are healthy: prevention is always better than cure. It is not unusual for very healthy people to choose stem cell therapy as a proactive health measure, and many of our patients come in the early stages of disease or purely for anti-aging. We don't believe in waiting until there are no other options left before using stem cells. Our own family has had stem cell treatment, including the doctors and our grandparents.

Before we recommend treatment, we always ask ourselves: "If this person were our parent, brother, sister or close family member, would we recommend stem cell treatment for them?" If the answer is yes, we proceed.

Stem cells from a young donor are especially useful for older patients. Donor umbilical cord MSCs are often more potent than a patient's own cells, particularly for people over 40, whose own stem cells may have aged.

Who should not have it

Stem cell therapy is not suitable if you have:

  • An active infection, such as active diarrhea, a severe soft-tissue infection, or an active, uncontrolled viral infection such as hepatitis. Please tell us immediately if you think you are coming down with a cold, flu or similar illness before your treatment.

  • Active cancer. Stem cell therapy is not a cancer treatment, and MSCs are not recommended during active cancer. This is not because they cause cancer, but because their immune-modulating effects could interfere with cancer treatment. Once you have been declared cancer-free, stem cell therapy can be a helpful choice for your recovery.

  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding or recent childbirth. Stem cell therapy can start 6 months after giving birth.

  • An uncontrolled autoimmune condition, such as active SLE (lupus) or an active flare of inflammatory bowel disease. Wait until the disease has settled before considering therapy.

  • A serious blood-clotting disorder.

  • Unrealistic expectations that the therapy cannot fulfil.

Please tell your doctor if you take blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, Plavix (clopidogrel) or warfarin.

A thorough medical consultation is required before every treatment to rule out contraindications. We will also decline treatment when we cannot honestly expect it to deliver what the patient hopes for. For example, we once saw a 32-year-old man with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis two to three times a week, who hoped stem cells would cure his kidneys. We could not promise a complete reversal of his disease or that he would no longer need dialysis, so we declined to treat him.

The treatment

Duration: 45–60 minutes per infusion.

Every treatment starts with a doctor consultation, and your doctor sets the number of sessions and the program after an in-person assessment.

Program tiers

The IV Stem Cell Programs are offered in three tiers. Your doctor will recommend the one that best matches your health and your goals.

  • Gold. A program designed to enhance your overall wellbeing, built on the remarkable abilities of mesenchymal stem cells: migration, repopulation, self-renewal and multilineage differentiation.

  • Platinum. Our "sweet spot" program from a medical point of view. MSCs are cells with huge therapeutic potential: they renew themselves and give rise to connective tissue, bone and cartilage, and they help repair a wide range of damaged tissues and organs. Damaged or inflamed tissues call for repair by sending out signals, some of which attract MSCs to the injured tissue.

  • Diamond. For those who are serious about repairing a specific condition quickly, with the highest standard of care. As in every tier, the cells are fresh, never frozen, and infused on the day they are released by the laboratory.

Before the procedure

Consultation. Every patient starts with a personalized consultation with one of the doctors. We review your medical history, your current symptoms or conditions, and your goals, such as anti-aging, chronic pain or recovery from fatigue. Your doctor plans the best treatment regime for you and matches the dose, delivery method and frequency to your needs.

Lab tests, if needed. In some cases we recommend blood tests or imaging to check organ function, rule out contraindications such as cancer or infection, and make your treatment plan safer.

Informed consent and briefing. We explain where the stem cells come from and how they are handled, the potential benefits and limitations, and our safety protocols, and what to expect during and after treatment. Information is provided clearly in English and Thai.

Your cells are cultured specifically for your case and delivered to the clinic fresh, just in time for your appointment. Fresh cells have a limited lifespan and cannot be stored or reused, so please keep your appointment or let us know as early as possible if your plans change.

On the day

  1. Medical review by your doctor

  2. Vital-sign check and review of lab results, if needed

  3. Intravenous infusion of the stem cells (45–60 minutes)

  4. Optional local injection, for example into a joint or the scalp, if it is part of your plan

  5. Observation after the treatment in a quiet lounge

  6. Personalized aftercare instructions

You will be welcomed into a private infusion room with calm surroundings, soft lighting and optional music. The cells are suspended in sterile saline and delivered through a slow IV drip. There is no surgery and no anesthesia. IV stem cell therapy is not painful. It feels much like a vitamin drip, and many patients relax or nap during the session. A nurse or doctor monitors you throughout for comfort and safety. The infusion is a single-day procedure with no overnight stay, and most patients return to their hotel after a short rest.

After the infusion

Most patients have no serious side effects. Some notice temporary effects such as tiredness or sleepiness for a few hours, mild body aches or chills, a low-grade fever, and rarely a headache or lightheadedness. These usually settle within 24–48 hours without medication. A low-grade fever and sleepiness are signs that the stem cells have started their work.

Once in the body, the stem cells home in on the areas of your body in distress, and on any other organs that need attention. During the following months, gradual improvement is seen and felt as the cells multiply and work. Response varies from person to person. Based on our clinical experience:

  • Many patients notice early improvements within 1–3 weeks, and some feel the effects within hours or days

  • Fatigue and skin changes: within 2–6 weeks

  • Joint pain: within 1–3 months

  • Sexual function: as soon as 1–4 weeks

  • Autoimmune support: gradual, monitored over months

  • Peak effects are usually seen at 1–3 months

Changes depend on your age, the condition treated, lifestyle factors and immune function. We give you a personalized timeline at your consultation. What matters most is to have realistic expectations.

The team stays in touch after your treatment by message, email or video call, wherever you live.

Repeat treatments

Some patients have a single treatment. Others take a more proactive approach and repeat IV stem cell therapy every 2–5 years as part of their long-term wellness strategy. Annual booster treatments are also common in anti-aging and chronic pain management. Your doctor decides the number of sessions after an in-person assessment.

Before and aftercare

Before your treatment

  • Avoid smoking, alcohol and strenuous exercise for the week before your treatment.

  • Tell the clinic immediately if you think you are coming down with an illness such as a cold or flu.

  • Get enough rest: sleep more than 7 hours the night before treatment.

  • The day before treatment, avoid oily food, a high-sugar diet and soft drinks.

  • On the day of treatment, avoid stimulant drinks such as coffee and energy drinks, as well as alcohol and cordyceps supplements.

  • Tell us if you take blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, Plavix or warfarin.

After your treatment

The aftercare is simple and minimally disruptive to your daily life. These instructions create the best environment for the stem cells to work:

  • You may have a low-grade fever, which settles within 24 hours.

  • Rest for 24–48 hours after the infusion.

  • Avoid fried and oily food for 3 days.

  • Stay away from crowded places where infection risk may be higher, such as malls and hospitals.

  • You may feel sleepy. Eat a protein-rich diet, because the cells need extra energy, and drink plenty of water.

  • For the first week, keep to a quiet, low-exertion routine. Everyday activities are fine, but do not train, and avoid anything that could cause an injury. In the second week you can ease back into exercise. The goal is for the stem cells to repair your body rather than deal with new injuries.

  • If you are unsure about any aftercare instruction, please ask us.

For the best results, we prefer to give stem cell treatment when you have no other injury at the same time. This lets the cells focus on rejuvenating your internal organs rather than being diverted to something like an ankle sprain.

Looking after your cells for the long term

Think of your stem cells as fish in a pond. From the moment of fertilization, stem cells drive our healing and maintain our organs. Lifestyle medicine keeps the pond clean and thriving, so that both your own stem cells and new umbilical cord stem cells can flourish. In an ideal healthcare system, lifestyle medicine is the first line of prevention, hospital medicine handles emergencies and acute illness, and stem cell therapy works on anti-aging and the underlying causes of many diseases.

Good nutrition is one of the most basic needs of healthy cells. Cells need a constant supply of energy, which comes from nutrients, mainly sugars, amino acids and fatty acids, much as fuel powers a car. Nutrients also provide the raw materials cells use to build carbohydrates, proteins, lipids (fats) and nucleic acids, the bricks and mortar of the cell. Cells also need small amounts of inorganic salts and minerals such as calcium, iron and phosphate, which act like supervisors, overseeing cellular processes and helping to build molecules such as DNA and RNA. A nutritious diet gives your cells the macro- and micronutrients they need to grow, function and repair your body.

Quality and safety

Safety and quality are our top priorities. Providing effective and reliable stem cell treatment is a meticulous and extensive process, and each treatment reflects years of dedication and attention to every detail. If you taught a high-school student to grow stem cells, they could probably do it, but would they produce the best-quality cells? We don't think so.

Why our cells

  • Mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord tissue, grown xeno-free (no animal-derived materials)

  • Each batch tested for sterility, viability and cell count before every procedure

  • A Certificate of Analysis for every case

  • No additives or anti-rejection drugs

Umbilical cord tissue: the youngest source

Our cells come from human umbilical cord tissue, also known as Wharton's jelly, one of the purest sources of stem cells. Among the many sources of multipotent stem cells, umbilical cord tissue stands out as the most potent, because of its youth and the dense concentration of stem cells it holds. These cells are collected at the very beginning of life, so they are less differentiated and more adaptable. A small amount of cord tissue yields a large number of stem cells. Cord stem cells are also less likely to provoke an immune response, which makes them valuable for donor (allogeneic) treatment, where donor and recipient are not a perfect genetic match.

The cord tissue is collected non-invasively right after birth, from umbilical cords that would otherwise be discarded. This avoids the ethical concerns of other sources, as well as invasive harvesting methods such as liposuction or bone marrow extraction. We never use embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cells.

Our donor selection criteria

We select umbilical cord tissue only from young, healthy mothers, and we follow strict criteria throughout the donor selection process:

  • Age. We consider only mothers under 30. Older mothers and teenage pregnancies are excluded.

  • Pregnancy risk. High-risk pregnancies are excluded, including those involving overweight or underweight mothers or mothers with underlying medical conditions. Screening starts before pregnancy and continues throughout pregnancy until the cord is collected.

  • Family medical history. Mothers with a direct family history of metabolic syndrome (including heart disease and diabetes), genetic disease or cancer are not eligible.

  • Newborn health. We accept cords only from healthy, full-term newborns. Cords from unwell newborns, premature births or post-term labor are excluded.

These criteria ensure you receive high-quality stem cells from a robust, healthy donor. Specific donor details cannot be shared, because the regulations governing stem cell work protect donor privacy and confidentiality.

Gentle, non-invasive collection

We select cords from cesarean section (C-section) deliveries to prevent contamination during collection. In this non-invasive harvesting, the umbilical cord is collected after a C-section, which protects the health and safety of both mother and newborn. Its benefits include:

  • Higher stem cell yield. Research suggests that cord blood from C-section deliveries may contain more stem cells than cord blood from natural births.

  • Better viability. A C-section allows a gentler collection, which helps preserve the viability and function of the cells. Stem cells collected this way are more likely to thrive in culture.

  • Lower contamination risk. The controlled environment of a C-section minimizes exposure to outside contaminants, which could otherwise compromise the quality of the cells.

  • Greater therapeutic potential. Higher yield and viability broaden the range of treatments the cells can be used for.

Fresh, never frozen

Our cells are never frozen at any stage. Fresh umbilical cord tissue produces higher-potency stem cells than frozen tissue. A study published in Cytotherapy (Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2014) found that frozen (cryopreserved) cord tissue often yields lower cell counts, shows poorer cell recovery, and grows more slowly. Cells from fresh cord tissue:

  • Show better viability and recovery

  • Grow faster and proliferate more efficiently

  • Have greater functional capacity and therapeutic potential

The use of cryopreserved stem cells has also been associated with more adverse events, including transfusion reactions, bacterial contamination of the cells, and cells that are prepared but never used. For these reasons we use fresh cord tissue only, and your cells are collected and infused fresh on the day of treatment, within 6 hours of release by the laboratory.

Most stem cells elsewhere are frozen after culture for economic reasons. Would you rather eat a prime piece of fresh steak, or one that had been frozen?

Xeno-free culture

Our cells are grown in xeno-free culture media, which contain no animal-derived components. You can compare it to a vegan diet: there is zero contamination from animal products. Traditional culture media often contain animal serum or other animal-derived ingredients. Xeno-free media instead use carefully selected, purified components that keep sensitive stem cells healthy and viable. The benefits include:

  • Purity and consistency. No variability or contamination risk from animal components.

  • Lower immune reaction. Without foreign animal proteins, there is less risk of an immune or allergic reaction when the cells are given to patients.

  • Better control of cell behavior. The culture environment can be precisely controlled.

  • Ethics. No animal-based components are used.

  • Safety and transparency. Less risk of contaminants or pathogens from animal sources.

Xeno-free media cost more than traditional media and require more carefully optimized culture protocols, but the benefits for safety, consistency and ethics outweigh these challenges.

Hypoxic cell culture

In the body, stem cells live in niches where oxygen levels are lower than in surrounding tissues. This low-oxygen (hypoxic) environment helps them keep their "stemness" and ability to self-renew. Grown under normal oxygen levels, stem cells often become stressed, which affects how they behave and function. We culture our cells under hypoxic conditions to improve their survival and engraftment. The advantages include:

  • Preserved stemness. Cells stay in their undifferentiated state.

  • Better proliferation. Hypoxia helps stem cells keep a higher rate of division.

  • Better control of differentiation when it is needed.

  • Less oxidative stress. High oxygen levels can damage cell components and DNA. Hypoxic culture reduces this, minimizing the risk of genetic mutations and protecting genomic stability.

  • Greater therapeutic potential. Hypoxia-preconditioned stem cells have shown greater effectiveness in preclinical models of tissue repair and regeneration.

Phenol-red-free culture media

Patients often ask why our stem cell solution isn't pink or red. The answer is that we don't use phenol red. Phenol red is a pH-indicator dye commonly added to culture media. It changes color with acidity: red when acidic, pink when neutral and yellow when alkaline. It has downsides:

  • It can interfere with cell-based tests, making results harder to read accurately.

  • Some studies suggest it may be toxic to cells with prolonged exposure.

  • Its color changes can mask subtle shifts in pH that matter for monitoring the cells.

Phenol-red-free media give a more stable, controlled environment for stem cell growth, can promote better cell viability, and reduce the risk of contamination in culture.

The best culture passage

A "passage" is each time stem cells are subcultured in the laboratory before clinical use. Choosing the right passage is both a science and an art:

  • At early passages, stem cells are at their most robust and keep their undifferentiated state.

  • With more passages, cells can enter senescence: they lose their ability to multiply and may change in ways that reduce their therapeutic potential.

We choose only the best passages from each culture, which gives us cells that are pure and effective. The right passage gives:

  • Viability and proliferation. The cells thrive and multiply.

  • Genetic stability. Less risk of unwanted genetic changes, and consistent treatments.

  • Differentiation. Cells primed for their purpose, whether regenerating tissue, modulating the immune system or supporting nerve regeneration.

  • Minimal senescence. Cells mature enough to be effective but young enough to avoid senescence-related problems.

Our cells are used at passage 5.

Lab class 100 laboratory

Our cells are produced in a Lab class 100 standard laboratory, a standard known for producing purified injectable medications and advanced nanotechnology. They come from approved laboratories that comply with Thailand's Ministry of Public Health regulations. Each batch is custom-prepared for each patient's case, for maximum effectiveness and minimal immune reaction.

Batch testing

Every batch is tested before every procedure, including third-party laboratory testing:

  • Sterility and pathogen screening. Checks for bacteria, viruses and endotoxins, with reports to confirm there is no infectious risk.

  • Viability. Confirms that the cells are alive and physically and physiologically healthy, and that you receive the full dose you are having.

  • Cell count.

  • Identity (stem cell markers). We use flow cytometry to verify stem cell markers, confirming that you receive genuine, purified mesenchymal stem cells.

  • Genetic stability.

Certificate of Analysis for every case

Every case receives a Certificate of Analysis (COA) before the infusion. We provide batch documentation, certificates and source verification, so you always know what you are receiving. A signed and stamped COA from the laboratory director is your "biological receipt." It should prove:

  • Viability: are the cells alive?

  • Purity (CD markers): does it prove the cells are mesenchymal stem cells through the CD73, CD90 and CD105 markers?

  • Safety: are the cells sterile and free from contaminants?

Quality over quantity: no additives or anti-rejection drugs

Because our cells are fresh and carefully cultured, we achieve strong results without needing an excessively large number of cells. What matters is the strength of each cell, not just the count. Think of it as choosing between fighting a battle with a thousand undernourished soldiers or with a hundred well-trained, young ones.

Very large cell numbers are usually linked to frozen cells. Freezing kills many cells, so more have to be given to make up for it. Much of the high-dose practice also comes from research: study patients are usually critically ill or end-stage, groups are given large numbers of cells to get good results, and those doses are then copied. When frozen cells die, the answer is to "carpet bomb" the body with cells, and the body must then clear the dead or damaged ones. That is counterproductive. High-quality cells multiply on their own, carry no risk of rejection, and don't need large numbers.

For the same reason, we add no vitamins or other additives to push the effect, and we give no anti-rejection drugs. The results from good cells speak for themselves.

Safety in the clinic

Every step is set up for safety:

  • Medical evaluation before every case, including a full review of your medical history, blood tests and other investigations if needed, matching the right dose, delivery method and frequency, and preparation guidance before treatment

  • Sterile infusion in hospital-grade infusion rooms, following clean protocols and international best practice, with single-use equipment and IV specialists on site

  • Correct timing, dilution and IV administration

  • Board-certified physician review of every case

  • Licensed professionals only: nursing work is done only by licensed nurses, and medical decisions are made only by qualified doctors

  • Ongoing staff training and standard operating procedures

  • Informed consent and patient education, given clearly in English and Thai

Is stem cell therapy safe?

Yes, when it is done properly. Stem cell therapy is generally considered safe when performed in a regulated clinic using properly sourced, screened and prepared cells, but not all stem cell treatments are equal. Safety depends on:

  • Cell type. MSCs have the safest record compared with embryonic or iPSC-based therapies.

  • Source. Cells should come from regulated, disease-screened donors, such as umbilical cord donors.

  • Culture process. Cells must be expanded in sterile, xeno-free, certified laboratories.

  • Route. IV infusion and targeted joint injections are standard. Unsafe practices, such as spinal (intrathecal) injection outside clinical-trial oversight, should be avoided. We use only IV or local injections.

  • Provider. Only licensed medical professionals should give the therapy, under sterile conditions.

Among all stem cell types, MSCs are the most clinically tested and carry the lowest risk of complications. A 2016 meta-analysis in PLoS ONE reviewed 36 clinical trials and found "no significant safety concerns" with MSC treatment. Clinical data from Frontiers in Immunology (2021) found adverse effects after MSC IV infusion in fewer than 2% of patients, mostly mild and short-lived.

In our experience, stem cell treatment is safe because we focus on every detail, from culturing the cells to giving them. We use the best products and follow the safest treatment guidelines, with a well-trained professional team, and we have never had a serious side effect. We have treated patients from every continent with zero serious adverse events.

Side effects

Mild, temporary side effects can include:

  • Low-grade fever (a sign of immune activation)

  • Tiredness or sleepiness for 24–48 hours

  • Mild headache, chills or body aches

  • Flu-like symptoms from immune activation

  • Minor soreness at the IV site, or injection-site tenderness after a local injection

These usually settle on their own and are part of the body's natural healing response. We monitor every patient closely, including for rare allergic or inflammatory responses, and provide follow-up care.

After many years in this field, we also want to warn about the complications seen with poor-quality products elsewhere: systemic infections from unhygienic administration, thrombosis (blood clots), allergic reactions and lung inflammation. This is how we prevent these risks:

  • Infection: sterile technique, single-use equipment and hospital-grade standards

  • Allergic reaction: xeno-free cells with no animal components

  • Immune rejection: immune-privileged MSCs from carefully screened donors

  • Tumor formation: we never use embryonic or iPSC stem cells, the types associated with tumor risk

  • Poor cell quality: Lab class 100 laboratories that test every batch

Do stem cells cause cancer or tumors?

No. The fear comes mainly from confusion between stem cell types, from media coverage of early embryonic stem cell research, and from a lack of public knowledge about clinical-grade protocols. Some early laboratory studies found that pluripotent stem cells, such as embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), could form teratomas, benign tumors containing several tissue types, when injected into animals. These findings do not apply to the mesenchymal stem cells used in clinical practice today.

  • Myth: "All stem cells can form tumors."

  • Fact: Mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent, not pluripotent. They can become only a limited range of cell types, such as cartilage, bone, fat and skin, and cannot form teratomas. A systematic review in Stem Cells Translational Medicine (2016) concluded that MSCs "show no evidence of malignant transformation or tumor formation in clinical use."

Why MSCs are safe for clinical use:

  • Limited differentiation. They can become only a few cell types, which makes them biologically safer than ESCs or iPSCs.

  • Signaling, not overgrowth. MSCs work mainly by releasing molecules that promote healing, reduce inflammation and stimulate the body's repair systems, rather than by multiplying uncontrollably. They do not keep replicating beyond their therapeutic role.

  • Extensive clinical evidence. More than 1,000 registered clinical trials have tested MSCs in humans, and no cases of tumor formation have been attributed to properly prepared MSCs. A 2021 review in Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology described MSCs as "safe and well-tolerated with minimal adverse effects" in hundreds of human studies.

Umbilical cord tissue MSCs carry zero risk of tumor development, which sets them apart from other kinds of mesenchymal stem cells, and their effectiveness surpasses that of all other types of MSCs.

Some people link stem cells with cancer because of bone marrow transplants for leukemia and lymphoma. That is a completely different treatment, using hematopoietic (blood-forming) stem cells, not mesenchymal stem cells. There is no scientific evidence linking properly used MSC therapy to cancer later in life.

What to look for in any stem cell clinic

Choosing a stem cell clinic is one of the most important health decisions you will make. Luxury decoration does not equal medical excellence. A chandelier, or a building designed to look ten stories high when it is only three, reflects a marketing budget, not the standard of care. When it comes to your health, you are not buying a hotel stay; you are buying medical expertise, biological integrity and safety.

  • Experience, not impossible claims. Anyone can wear scrubs and claim to be an expert. We have seen social media ads from doctors under 30 claiming more than 20,000 cases. Experience is vital to predict, prevent and manage complications. Ask how long the clinic has been in practice and who actually performs the procedure. Is your IV prepared by a registered nurse with years of clinical experience, or by someone trained for a few months to wear a uniform?

  • The Certificate of Analysis. Never accept an injection without seeing a COA that proves viability, MSC identity (CD73, CD90 and CD105) and sterility.

  • Professionalism behind the scenes. Luxury furniture is easy to buy; clinical discipline is hard to keep. In some "glamorous" clinics, staff eat or relax in the same area where IV injections are prepared.

  • No pressure. Healthcare should not be pushed by "limited-time promotions." If you feel pressured to decide quickly, the clinic is putting sales targets before your health.

  • Trust. Medicine is a business of trust, and the Hippocratic Oath reminds doctors to put the patient's benefit first. Take your time and do your research. A clinic that is honest about its staff's experience and its lab results respects you as a patient.

Frequently asked questions

What source of stem cells do you use? Would you take my blood and make stem cells from it?

No. We use mesenchymal stem cells from donated human umbilical cord tissue (Wharton's jelly), collected from healthy, full-term births with donor consent, and expanded in a Lab class 100 laboratory. Umbilical cord stem cells may have greater benefits than stem cells taken from bone marrow or blood.

Do your stem cells come from animals, such as sheep?

No. Our cells are human, from umbilical cord tissue, and they are grown xeno-free, with no animal-derived materials at any stage. We have never understood why humans would want to be injected with sheep cells.

Are there different types of stem cells?

Yes. The main types are embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), each with its own characteristics. We use only mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord tissue, and we do not use embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cells in any treatment, in line with international best practice. Most clinics worldwide use only MSCs, for reasons of safety, legality and effectiveness.

Are mesenchymal stem cells from my own body better than donor cells?

In many cases, donor umbilical cord MSCs are more potent and safer, especially for patients over 40, whose own stem cells may have aged. Your own cells age along with the rest of your body.

How do I know I am getting real stem cells?

We provide batch documentation, a Certificate of Analysis and source verification before your infusion, so you always know what you are receiving. Flow cytometry confirms the cells carry mesenchymal stem cell markers.

Other places offer anti-rejection drugs, free vitamin or NAD+ drips, and more cells. What is the difference?

Quality is paramount in stem cell therapy. High-quality cells carry no risk of rejection and don't need to be given in large numbers. Large cell numbers are usually linked to frozen cells, which suffer cell death during freezing, so more must be given. Our cells are fresh and of the highest quality, so there is no need to add vitamins or anything else to push the effect. The results from good cells speak for themselves.

Can I request a donor mother who has never had a COVID vaccine? If the donor had COVID or a vaccine, is it passed on?

We cannot confirm whether a donor mother has had the COVID vaccine. However, COVID vaccines are not passed on to the stem cells, and our cultures go through extensive testing to ensure the highest possible quality.

Are there any ethical concerns?

No. Our cells come from umbilical cords that would otherwise be discarded after childbirth, which removes the ethical concerns about how the tissue is obtained.

Is stem cell therapy painful? Does it require surgery?

IV stem cell therapy is not painful and needs no surgery or anesthesia. It feels much like a slow vitamin drip. Most stem cell treatments are given by injection or infusion. Some procedures, such as an injection into an arthritic knee joint, are minor interventions.

I am already fairly healthy. Will stem cell therapy still fine-tune my body?

Yes. Stem cells can play a crucial role in delaying aging. Increased wear and tear of your natural stem cells increases cellular damage and speeds up aging, and fresh young stem cells help counter this. The Mayo Clinic outlines several established and emerging uses for stem cell therapies in clinical care.

What if I don't feel any changes? Will I still benefit?

Yes. People who notice the biggest changes are usually those with several existing health conditions, because their organs were not working well and they feel the difference when function returns. If you are already healthy, not feeling an immediate change doesn't mean you haven't benefited. It partly depends on how closely you observe your own body.

Millions of our cells die every day. We don't notice this until much later, when signs of aging appear as functions slowly decline. So it's no surprise that you don't notice new cells being rebuilt either. If we could hear and feel every cell communicating and working, it would be overwhelming. What we feel is only the tip of the iceberg.

Think of a long crack in your bedroom wall that you never noticed because you were busy or kept the room dark. Someone fills it with cement and paints it. The wall doesn't get bigger or taller, so you may not notice anything, but it has been repaired and will look good for another decade.

We remember a woman who had chronic hip pain for years. Within weeks of stem cell treatment, her pain improved greatly. It may look like simple pain relief, but look closer: the inflammation in her hip resolved without surgery that could have strained other joints as they compensated, and without steroids or painkillers, which give temporary relief and can do more harm than good over time. The inflammation was also addressed wherever else it was needed in her body, all without a sound. You won't feel healing in your kidneys, liver or heart, because pain isn't how these organs talk to us, but it is happening quietly and effectively.

What is your success rate?

Our success rate is particularly notable, and the more unwell you are, the more tangible the changes tend to be. For people in good health, changes may not be immediately noticeable, but the work is already under way inside. The best way to get the most from stem cell therapy is to treat a condition in its early stages: the earlier, the better.

Can stem cell therapy cure diseases?

Stem cell therapy has shown promising results in improving symptoms and promoting healing, but it may not always completely cure certain diseases. Realistic expectations are important.

How long do the results last?

Results vary with the condition, your age and its severity. Research shows that many patients have benefits lasting 6–24 months, particularly with high doses of mesenchymal stem cells. Many of our patients report benefits lasting 1 to 3 years, and some repeat treatment every 2–5 years as maintenance.

Will IV stem cells replace the need for aesthetic procedures?

Not entirely. Stem cells improve overall skin and tissue health and work well alongside Botox, lasers and other aesthetic treatments.

Do I need to stay overnight? How long should I stay in Bangkok?

No overnight stay is needed. The infusion is done as an outpatient, and you can return to your hotel after a short rest. Most treatment plans need only a few days in Bangkok, and longer stays can be arranged for recovery or additional treatments. Many patients combine their treatment with a holiday or remote work, and Thailand's climate and hospitality make it a pleasant place to recover.

Can I bring a companion?

Absolutely. Many patients do.

Can I still train after stem cell therapy?

We recommend no training in the first week, and avoiding any activity that could cause an injury. In the second week you can ease back into exercise. The goal is for the stem cells to repair your body rather than deal with new injuries.

Is stem cell therapy approved and legal?

Approval of stem cell therapy varies by country: some therapies are approved for specific conditions, while others are still under investigation. In the USA, most stem cell treatments are still under investigational approval. In Thailand, stem cell therapy is legal and regulated by the Ministry of Public Health and the Thai FDA. Clinics must be licensed, and cell processing must be done by approved, certified laboratories. Our treatments are given by licensed doctors in a licensed clinic, using cells from approved laboratories.

Will I be followed up after I go home?

Yes. We offer remote follow-up by message, email or video call, wherever you live.

What do patients say after IV stem cell therapy?

A few of the messages our patients have shared:

  • "Because of some recent health challenges I also did a stem cell treatment. The increased energy and feelings of wellbeing were almost immediate. I feel great, better than I have for years."

  • "I took my mother for stem cell therapy. Her breathing improved and her health is better."

  • "The healing of your body happens extremely fast. It will catch you off guard. You walk into the clinic broken and come out a brand-new, energetic, powerful, creative, youthful version of yourself."

  • A scientist who teaches at doctoral level at a medical school, living with kidney disease after losing one kidney, as well as diabetes, a missing adrenal gland, severe thyroid disease and hypertension, spent three months researching clinics worldwide: "What I learned is that the protocols for stem cell harvesting and processing are the key feature. I simply wanted the best cells, screened with great rigor. The attention to detail, professionalism and, most of all, the stem cell quality dramatically exceeded my expectations. My remaining kidney pain needed significant pain medication before treatment. After 48 hours, I feel 10 years younger and have no kidney pain. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner."

  • A practicing general practitioner: "Communication and documentation regarding the origin, processing and containment of the cells, and the professionalism throughout the process, is why we chose this clinic. The result has been even better than expected, with rapid loss of chronic arthritic and muscle and tendon problems within days, and an incredibly higher level of energy. The approach with fresh stem cells is definitely the medicine of the future."

  • A patient who had NAD+, vitamin IVs and a stem cell infusion: "I felt safe throughout all of my therapies. I'm sleeping well, and for the first time in months I wake up and go to the gym instead of hitting snooze. The inflammation in my knee joints and lower back has improved immensely, my skin is clear, and I have so much more energy."

  • A patient from South Asia: "After a few days I noticed slow but steady improvement in my lungs, muscle pain, stress and energy. Now I can deal better with my type 2 diabetes. I come back every year because I can see real improvement inside my body."

  • A patient from Portugal who had NAD+ on the first and third days and placenta injections with stem cell therapy on the second: "As the stem cell therapy finished, I could feel energy surging through my arms and legs. My muscles felt incredibly strong. The next day I was awake at 5 am, alert and full of vigor. My sense of smell has improved and I no longer have any pain."

  • "A cardiologist was blown away and brought his team in to look. He said I had the heart of a 25-year-old, with all the valves and vessels leading into the heart clean and young. Not to mention that my fatty liver was no longer there."

  • A US military veteran: "Even my primary care doctor was amazed. She said my labs didn't look like they came from a man my age, let alone a Gulf War veteran."

  • A patient two weeks after IV NAD+ and IV stem cell therapy: "I'm very happy with the results. The benefits are clear."

  • A patient recovering from open-heart surgery, six months after IV NAD+, IV stem cells, Cerebrolysin and young blood plasma: "I've sent MRI scans, health updates and even concerns from overseas, and I never felt like just another patient. It's a true health partnership. I feel recharged, strong and grateful."

  • A patient one to two weeks after IV stem cell therapy: "For me, avoiding surgery, with the long recovery, scar tissue and risk of repeat operations, has been a major victory. I've since added young blood plasma and Cerebrolysin to support my vitality and brain health. I feel 100%."

  • A patient with chronic kidney disease: "My fatigue disappeared, my bloodwork improved dramatically, and even my doctors were shocked. I felt like a new person, full of energy, healthy and finally hopeful."

  • "I was told pain was just part of aging, but stem cells gave me back my mobility, my sleep and my joy. If you're a woman my age, don't wait."
